Fashion Art Direction (MA)

During 2020 I embarked on a masters in Fashion Art Direction. I wanted to become more creative and expand on the things I had learnt during my BA. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, by March all my studies had moved online and I had the challenge of trying to complete my MA with only the resources I had in my flat.

I focused on using my graphic design skills to create most of my work and also started to delve into film making (with a very D.I.Y aesthetic).

Here are some examples of the work I created during this time.

Hangxitey Film:

For our first project we where tasked with creating a 'signature piece'.
I decided to make a short film exploring the emotions of 'Hangxiety' in the style of a gameshow.

Limbo Magazine:

For my final project I decided to make a magazine about the lockdown experience. It was inspired by teen magazines of the 70's and 80's filled with make-up tutorials, quizzes and colourful illustrations.
As well as a magazine I created a website to go alongside it. Although the website is now closed, I created a short video to showcase it.

Greetings from the Dance Floor :

Postcard designs celebrating the rituals of weekend nightlife. Created for an exhibition looking at city life.

Miss Poly-Ester:

A two page spread I made for a magazine exploring sustainability and the fashion industry.
